The Students Loan Trust Fund, (SLTF) has launched its long awaited Scheme of Service at a beautiful but short ceremony, at the Alisa Hotel, in Accra on Friday April 10, 2015.
In her welcome address, the CEO of the Trust Fund, Mrs. Sheila Naah-Boamah, expressed her delight that the Scheme of Service which has gone through tortuous stages and series of hard work has finally materialized. She called on all staff to lend their efforts towards its successful implementation.
In his address, the Guest of Honour for the occasion, the Deputy Minister in-charge of Tertiary Education, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa commended the PSC, former Board members and all and sundry who contributed in enormous ways to make the Scheme of Service see the day of light.
Speaking at the sidelines of the programme, a Representative from the Public Services Commission (PSC) who read a speech on behalf of Commissioner Gabah, Mr. George Ofori – commended SLTF for its commitment and determination in making its dream of a Scheme of Service come true. He indicated that, the document amongst others, spells out varied career progression paths and entreated all staff to cooperate with Management to ensure its successful implementation.
The climax of the event – cutting of a ribbon, to signify the official launch of the Scheme of Service – was performed by the Guest of Honour, the Deputy Minister in-charge of Tertiary Education, Hon Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.
In attendance were some former Board members of the Trust Fund; a collection of current Board of Trustees; Management members as well a section of staff of the Trust Fund.
